Windows explorer window after installi Indexer.jar
Files after double clicking InstallIndexer.jar

Indexer is just a double click away. Pick a directory, Dx, perhaps the directory with the book you want to index. Click here

and tell the downloader to put the file in that Dx directory. Now visit the directory with Windows Explorer and double click on the newly downloaded file. Et voilà! Indexer is installed. See the result at the right.  To use Indexer, double click on Indexer.jar or the Indexer shortcut.  (You can now delete InstallIndexer.jar.)

Your can copy the shortcut to your desktop or into the project directory.  Or drag it to the Start icon and then onto the start menu.

Be sure to prepare text files for Indexer so you can edit the manuscript. See

especially the section on Getting Ready to Start.  When running Indexer, Choose Help from the Help pulldown menu. It gives dynamic context help; completely different from the static IndexerHelp file.

The Indexer main help file (IndexerHelp.html) is also downloaded To read the help, double click the html file or run Indexer and pick the menu option "Browse full Help" on the Help pulldown menu at the upper left.
